New Zealand and the inhabitants of it are known for their beautiful, little country and wonderful history. But they are not so little anymore, they in fact own their own Continent: Zealandia. With recent scientific research, we have established that there is a large continent underneath the Pacific Ocean. Of old years past, we have determined that portions, or even all, of Zealandia was above the water but the inhabitants lived on the tallest mountain peaks, now recognized as the North and South island of New Zealand. It is two-thirds the size of Australia and contains vast, unexplored mountain ranges, until now. With the great advance in sea floor mapping, we have been able to gain information about this new continent and we will continue to achieve greater knowledge of it’s history.
