Ferdinand is not your typical bull. He is an outcast compared to the rest of his herd. He is against violence, which becomes a bit of a problem when he is taken by five men. Ferdinand prefers friends and flowers over aggression and fighting. Yet, five men come and take Ferdinand to use in a bullfight. Ferdinand however, does not want to partake in the violence. He is able to escape the violence in clever ways which include humor and kindness. Through his crazy adventure he meets new friends, each with a unique personality. As the movie progresses you are able to get to know each character individually. Ferdinand is a strong and courageous character who is a great role model for younger viewers.
