The Middle schoolers posed for a big group picture during the dance.
Middle Schoolers travelled through their CandyLand world on Friday, September 21, at the homecoming dance. The dance started at 10:00 and went to midnight. With frozen slushies, candy decorations, and a photo booth the set-up of this dance made for a fun night. They danced to up beat songs together as well as slow songs.”My first homecoming was very fun and exciting,” sixth grader, Judd Witte exclaimed the week after homecoming.
The Upper School dance occured on Saturday September 22. Starting at 8:30 and ending at 11:00. The theme of the night was 50s Sock Hop. While many people dressed throwback to the 50s, other people dressed in casual dresses. The dance had root beer floats, cut out records, and a record player throwin’ down an Elton John tune when you walked in. Whether you brought a date or not, the dance provided activities for everyone to do, from dancing, getting a rootbeer float, or taking pictures at the photobooth. While there were many throwback songs there was also many slow dance songs. Junior, Caleb Bryant commented on the music. “The music was slow at first but picked up towards the end and it was really fun.” All in all Homecoming 2018 was one to remember.
