The 2018 Upper School Choir and Ensemble presented A World of Color on the evening of October 23. Choir Director, Janine Locke directed the choir for her third year at MCA and was accompanied by Locke’s friend, Hannah Robison on the piano. Students performed a mix of songs that were designed around the theme of color. The show was performed by the Upper School choir and the girls and boys ensemble. Ensemble performed, “What a wonderful world” arranged by Mark Brymer, “Blue Skies” arranged by Roger Emerson, “Blue Suede Shoes”arranged by Jeff Funk, and “Colors of the Wind”arranged by Audrey Snyder. The choir sang “Blue Moon” arranged by Jeff Funk, “Blackbird” arranged by Audrey Snyder, and “Aurora Borealis” arranged by Amy Bernon. The Ensemble and the Choir both performed “A Red, Red Rose” arranged by Daniel Burton. The concert featured freshman, Marshall Stubbs on the guitar, Senior, Connor Griffis on the Bass, Sophomore, Ethan Selz on the drums during “Blue Moon”. Freshman, Maddie Clark played the guitar during “Blackbird”. The choir concert was also accompanied by the art show, which was to the right of the risers. Overall, the concert was a great way to feature the new talents in the Fine Arts program.
