The MCA Junior Class took the opportunity to go to Six Flags Over Texas for Physics Day. Physics Teacher, Colonel Bellue, has taken his physics classes there for many years now and it has always been a favorite trip. The students are taken to Six Flags to study the effects of gravity, speed, and etc. on roller coasters. However, the trip is also meant for the students to just have a fun time and go to the theme park. Most of the students came home on the bus midday, but some others decided to stay and spend the rest of their day there. Junior Maura Cueva said, “It was an amazing experience getting to skip school to go to Six Flags and it was really fun being able to ride all the rollercoasters.” Physics Day at Six Flags was a way for the junior class to learn more about physics in a real-life scenario, and to enjoy the thrills that theme parks have.
