This past week, MCA held its annual Wild Week. Wild Week is a week of dress-up days, celebrating basketball, and getting ready for the Winter Formal dance. It is a short week, as students had Monday off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On Tuesday, students put on their cowboy boots for Texas Tuesday. Later Tuesday night when seniors returned from retreat, students cheered on their Mustangs as JV and varsity boys basketball teams played Trinity Christian Addison and varsity girls faced Imagine on Senior Night. The Lady Mustangs came out with a victory against Imagine, while both JV and Varsity Boys teams fell short to TCA. Wednesday, each grade had a different holiday to dress up for. Freshmen were Christmas, sophomores were Valentines Day, juniors were Fourth of July and seniors were St. Patrick’s Day. On Thursday, students had a rivalry of camo vs. tie dye. Camouflage was more popular with the boys while the girls preferred tie dye. Finally, on Friday, students wore their Wild Week shirts and showed their best MCA spirit. The Mustangs joined together on Friday at an all-school Wild Week pep rally. Varsity Cheerleaders performed their competition routine, Middle School and Little Stangs cheerleaders performed a dance, some students participated in a game, and the Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling teams were recognized. To top off the week, students gathered at the Flour Mill to dance the night away at the Winter Formal dance .
