The D1 team won five games this season. Their game against HSAA was tough but they pulled through to win. The team’s last game was against Dallas Christian where they played three sets winning 18-16 in the last set. At the end of the season celebration on Friday, awards were given out to three players. The Most Outstanding Player Award went to eighth grader Kadence Ackmann, the Mustang Award went to eighth grader Mia Gunn and the Most Improved Award went to eighth grader Havilah Mahadi. Coach Elwood adds, “All the girls worked extremely hard together and pushed each other mentally and physically to get the job done.”
The D2 Middle School Volleyball team won two games, one against Lucas Christian and the other against Grapevine Faith. The team worked really well together and the players continued to improve as the season went on. Coach Wilks says, “Although it was a short season, I think it was a good one and know that they will all continue to grow their volleyball skills in the seasons to come.” The Most Outstanding Player Award went to sixth grader Abby Vinciguerra, the Mustang Award went to eighth grader Clara Agness and the Most Improved Award went to eighth grader Katia Gordon.
