On Friday, Aug. 21, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs opened their season against Nolan Catholic. After a close battle, MCA fell to Nolan Catholic 21-18. Senior quarterback Jackson Solomon led the Mustangs through the air with 200 passing yards on 12 completions. Senior Noah Morabito led MCA in receiving with 83 yards on three catches. The Mustangs remained within reach throughout the game but were unable to finish the comeback in the closing moments. “It was a hard-fought game, but we couldn’t execute at the end. We’re going to use this game as a lesson for next week,” senior Harrison Thompson said. Senior Lincoln Pogue also reflected on the close loss and the team’s opportunity to respond in its next game. “The game was close, but we didn’t finish in the way we wanted, but we’ll bounce back next week,” Pogue said.

The Mustangs will look to bounce back Friday, Aug. 28, when they take on Founders.
