On Saturday, Aug. 22, the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs competed in a cross-country meet at Texoma Christian. The girls’ team placed second overall, while the boys’ team finished fourth. Senior Carys Mejan and sophomore Everett Neuner earned medals at the meet. The Mustangs also had several runners set personal records (PRs), including freshmen Dean Petska and Josh Moore, as well as sophomore William Mevius. “It was such a blast! We all ran our best, and it really paid off. It’s such a great way to start the season,” Mejan said. The meet gave the Mustangs a strong start to the season, with two medalists, multiple personal records, and top-four finishes from both teams. MCA will look to continue improving throughout the cross-country season.
