MCA’s wrestling team grabbed a decisive victory over the McKinney High team on their senior night dual. The reason for this victory was because of key victories from young, relatively new wrestlers. Freshman Sam Harrell wrestled aggressively to win by a tech fall of 22-7, providing key points for the MCA team. Another upset occurred in the 160 lb. weight class when Judson Williams won a close match of 11-8. Judson commented, “This win showed us our true potential. Wins like this are why I love wrestling.” MCA had a series of pins by wrestlers Caleb Doyle, Rex Collins, Will Harrell, Davis Medole and Braxton Fillebrown. MCA’s win showed the potential skill that the team possesses.
