Friday, January 6, the varsity boys basketball team traveled to Waco for a district game against Waco Reicher, loosing 61-42. Head coach Cary Bartoo stated from the game; “We did not have a very good shooting night, while Reicher shot very well in the 1st half, which put them up 17 in 1st half. We battled back in 2nd half to within nine points, but just couldn’t slow down their attack and came up short.” The boys played hard and did well on communicating and working together throughout the game and tried their hardest to come back but fell short. They have been working hard since the beginning of the season on their skills, working to improve on defense and offense of the game and technique to help them in game scenarios. The Mustangs are on the road this Friday in Waco against Waco Vanguard.
