On Sunday, January 29, the military reported that a United States Navy SEAL was killed during a raid conducted in Yemen and three others were injured. This incident is the first operation authorized by President Trump and it is a great loss. Trump commented on the raid, announcing that he considered it as a successful raid that aided in the capture of key intelligence that will help America to protect its citizens and it will help the people around the world. As well, he stated that “Americans are saddened this morning with news that a life of a heroic service member has been taken in our fight against the evil of radical Islamic terrorism.”
Despite your political beliefs, religious affiliations, or anything else, may we remember our service members that are overseas fighting our enemies. May we never forget their sacrifice, for they are what keeps us safe and free. Rest easy, and may we pray for all of our service members.
