The fourth grade classes went to the Fort Worth Stockyards for a field trip on Friday, May 5. They did the “Four Hours of Fun in the Stockyards.” This program is an educational program that partners with the Fort Worth Herd, The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. It also includes a historical walking tour. Colt Carlisle, 4th, said, “My favorite part of the trip was the maze. It was confusing and we had to find letters that spelled maze. The last one out got a prize.” Carlisle also enjoyed learning that whips were created by cowboys. The fourth graders were able to learn and enjoy a day at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
