On May 3rd, the second grade class took a trip to the Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano, Texas as a continuation of their study of Colonial America. At the museum, the students had an opportunity to play colonial games, take a ride on a hayride, and milk a cow simulation. They also had a chance to wash and dry clothes on a clothes line just like the early Americans did. While they were there, they learned many things about early American history and were able to see real farm animals and play in a one room school house. The second graders finished their trip with a picnic and headed back to MCA.
