Middle School Students Qualify for Duke TIP State Award Ceremonies at UNT

Students are recognized at Duke TIP State Award Assembly

Middle school students Lizzie Smith, Kole Medders, Lawrence Ho, Trace Norfleet, and Karlene Shelton qualified for the Duke TIP State Award Ceremonies at UNT. These students demonstrated their academic excellence by scoring very highly on the ACT and SAT tests. To qualify, students must score at least a 22 on the English, Science, and Math section of the ACT or a 550 on the SAT test in these subjects. Students also must score a 23 on the Reading section of the ACT or a 540 on the SAT. These students worked very hard all throughout the school year in order to qualify for these awards.

The students were recognized and received a medal for their hard work at the Texas State Recognition Ceremony last May 17th at The Colosseum, University of North Texas (UNT.)  Congratulations to all the students who qualified this year to attend the Duke TIP State Award Ceremonies at UNT.
