Cross Country takes home two first place trophies from their meet on Saturday.

The Boy’s Varsity team gets out to a good start for a good place in the race.

This past Saturday, the McKinney Christian Cross Country team had a meet in Sadler, Texas. In the Varsity boys division, Junior Riley Pyle, placed first. The Varsity boys ran a 5k and Pyle won with a time of 16:58. In the Junior Varsity division, the team had another win from Junior Mason Lee. Mason Lee said, “I feel that my win was very well deserved because I worked very hard this week in practice.” Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity boys teams won. For the Varsity girl’s, Sophomore Brooke Fillebrown, Junior Elyse Mead, and Junior Juliana Roller finished with medals in the top 15. In the girl’s Junior Varsity division, Ruth Perry competed very well. They also had an open 5k that coaches and parents could enter in. Coach Jamison won the 5k with a time of 18:56. Jamison added, “This was another great meet for the Cross Country team.”
