Meet Before Homecoming

Cross Country once again takes home a first, second and third place trophies.

Before the Varsity Boy’s team races they say a quick prayer before they start.

On Saturday, September 16th, the McKinney Christian Cross Country team had a meet in Princeton, Texas. It took place at a former Prisoner of War Camp. The team took home many trophies from this meet. The Boy’s Junior Varsity team placed first, second place for the Boy’s Varsity team and third place for the Girl’s Varsity team. Assistant Coach, Coach McKeller said, Every week I continue to see improvement in these runners. I believe there is a lot of talent on this team this year.” Junior, Riley Pyle, finished the race in fifth. Senior, Able Kusaloka, placed first and Sophomore, Grant Bailey took third for the Junior Varsity division. Sophomore Brooke Fillebrown placed tenth and Junior Kara Vita placed 14th overall. Brooke Fillebrown added, “This was a great meet for me and I am ready for another good week of practice.” The Mustangs are set for their next meet in Stephenville, “The Thrill of the Hill” on October 4th.
