This Friday the MCA Middle School football team took home another win by defeating Coram Deo Academy. Daniel Kanz, eighth grader, started the Mustangs off with momentum by getting an interception in the first half. The Mustangs played fearless and got a lead on Coram Deo from the start. Having a good lead on Coram Deo allowed the coaches to substitute in many of the secondary players from both offense and defense. This gave many of the players do not usually start a good chance to prove themselves. Sutton Mayberry, 8th, scored his very first touchdown on Friday. Cole Anderson, 7th, got a pick six in the second half and helped secure the win. Eighth grader Grant Hursh, said ” We played fearless and the rain and mud did not stop us from playing our type of football. We’re playing great as a team right now and hopefully we carry our momentum with us through the rest of the season.” The Mustangs ended the game with a score of 36-24 against Coram Deo.
