This week’s Senior Spotlight features Laney Barrett and Charlie Stubbs.

Laney Barrett came to MCA in the sixth grade. During High School, Barrett has participated in soccer, praise band, and choir. Around campus Barrett is known for her beautiful voice and her ability to give genuine, honest advice to anyone in need. Her favorite thing to do is to make people smile; a close second would be performing.  She is a hard worker, a kind friend, a beautiful singer, and a talented artist. Her favorite bible verse is Matthew 10:30. She would like to attend University of North Texas or Appalachian State University to study vocal performance.

Charlie Stubbs has attended MCA since kindergarten. In High School, Stubbs ran for the Cross Country team that won the State Championship in 2015. He is in National Honor Society and praise band. He sang in the TPSMEA All-Region and All-State choirs. Outside of school activities, Stubbs enjoys playing the guitar, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. However, his greatest accomplishment is being the producer and a vocalist for his band, Lil Crafters. His favorite bible verse is Hebrews 11:1. He hopes to attend University of Texas at Dallas to study sound engineering and music production.
