BMW Dallas Marathon

This past Sunday the MCA Cross Country runners participated in the Dallas half marathon.

On Sunday, December 10th, some of the MCA Cross Country runners participated in the 47th annual BMW Dallas Marathon. The Dallas Marathon has many different races that runners can participate in. This year most of the runners entered in the half-marathon. The course for the runners was a scenic route throughout Downtown Dallas. Junior, Juliana Roller said, “It was fun to run throughout Dallas with my friends and I think my training prepared allowing to feel strong throughout the race.” The Cross Country coach, Chris Jamison, participated in the full marathon finishing with a time of 3:04, which qualified him for the Boston Marathon in 2019. Some people ran it for a certain time and others just ran for fun. Riley Pyle, 11th, finished with a time of 1:24, Mason Lee, 11th, finished with a time of 1:32, Caleb Bryant,10th, finished with a time of 1:41, Grant Bailey, 10th, finished with a time of 1:33, Peter Michael Clark, 9th, finished with a time of 1:34, Jonathan Roller, 9th, finished with a time of 1:37, Elyse Mead, 11th, finished with a time of 1:53 along with Juliana Roller. After the race, they have food and water ready for the runners straight from the finish line. The runners all said that they would love to participate in the event again next year.
