This year at MCA there are seven new teachers joining us. Two joining the Upper School, two joining Middle School, three working for Directed Studies, and one new kindergarten teacher’s aide. Teaching Algebra ll and College Algebra Mrs. Wong felt led to teach here after her three kids went here and really enjoying the school. Coaching cross country and teaching 9th and 10th grade English, as Blue said “MCA is the type of school I’ve been looking for and is the perfect fit”.  After his old school shut down Blue had been looking for a school with a tight Christian community and MCA was the one. Blue, as well as many other new teachers including Mike Pirtle, Justin Barton, Brady James are new coaches as well. Barton came from just down the road at Cockrill Middle School to teach sixth and seventh grade social studies. Also wanting a place that teaches and serves youth through Christ. Coaching Varsity baseball and teaching directed studies, Pirtle felt as though God led him to this school after moving to DFW to be closer to his new granddaughter. James is coming from Ovilla Christian School near Waxahachie. Teaching eighth grade Bible and Latin and seventh grade study skills, he is thankful for the opportunity God has given for he has wanted to work at MCA for a couple of years and enjoys working in Christian education and athletics. Celeste Harriman has subbed at MCA for two years, but this year, she is hired as the new kindergarten teacher’s aide. Diane Colennese previously worked at Heritage school of Texas which is a Christian school that serves students with learning differences moved to MCA after her daughter got accepted, to teach reading and take flight for first through fourth grade.
