Every year on the 100th Day of School, McKinney Christian’s kindergarteners and first graders dedicate the entire day to celebrating and participating in fun activities. Mrs. McKeller’s first graders started the day off with a “special 100th day breakfast” which was a delicious bagel and sausage. Which made the number 100 when the bagel was split in half. After this, the student participated in fun art activities and told fun stories. The kids were asked what they would do if they were given $100 and they were able to write about it. Not only that, but they also went outside on the deck and walked 100 steps to see how far they would get. The kindergarteners also had a fun day filled with games and an exciting hero.  Zero Hero came to visit the kindergarteners and they worked on counting to 100 and playing in fun activities. They were able to eat fun snacks like cookies and they got to hear exciting stories from Zero Hero.

McKinney Christian helps their students persevere and encourages them to truly understand the concept of place value by celebrating the 100th Day of School. These students will never forget these fun times and will always be able to cherish these memories for years to come.
