On Saturday, February 16, MCA’s Upper School ensemble competed in a TPSMEA competition at Legacy Christian. The ensemble is lead by Janine Locke,  Middle School, and Upper School choir director. The song they sang was “Since Robin Hood.” The judge scored the song and they received a one. Director Janine Locke said, “The kids did an awesome job after preparing really hard for it. Their amazing job resulted in the highest score they could get. Their hard work paid off.”

The Ensemble had two members who sang solos and received high scores. Junior Courtney Martin sang the song “The First Primrose” by Edvard Grieg as a solo and received a two, and junior Meredith Pogue sang “The Rose Bush” by Friedrich Himmel as a solo and received a one. Their next performance will be at MCA’s dinner show on May 11.
