8th Grade presents Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

On February 22, the 8th Grade Theatre performed an amazing show of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

On Friday, February 22, 2019, the MCA 8th Grade Theatre presented their rendition of the beloved book and movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The story of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is based on the book written by Roald Dahl published in 1964. The 8th grade performed at 7 p.m. in the Student Life Center. With Mrs. Tucker as the director, the show ran smooth. The show was narrated by Birdie Martin and Lila Finke. Charlie Bucket was played by Drew Dobbs and Willy Wonka was played by Gabby Gordon. Emilio Sanchez, who played Mr. Salt, said, “It turned out really well, and we had a lot of fun working on it.” The amazing set, props, playbill design, and construction was done by the Upper School technical theatre classes. Overall the play was  entertaining, well-rehearsed, and drew in a big crowd.
