On Tuesday, April 30, the 4th grade class went to the Fort Worth Stockyards and participated in the Four Hours of Fun Tour. During the tour, the students saw the Fort Worth Cattle Drive, the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, completed a walking tour, ate at Ricky’s Trailboss Burgers, saw the Fort Worth Herd program, and ended the day with the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. The maze was by far a student favorite. After interviewing several children, they all said the best part of the day was the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. The students said the maze was fun but challenging. The goal of the maze was to gather four letters hidden throughout the maze. Once they found all the letters the students had to find the end of the maze to escape. The maze is not an ordinary maze, there are fake doors throughout. Fourth grader Jonathan Magana said, “The maze was fun because we ran into people and things the whole time. My team got second because I ran into a wall when we were running to the end of the maze.” The students said they enjoyed all the activities they did on the trip.
