On Saturday, May 11th MCA hosted their annual Middle and Upper School choir “After Dinner Show.” The theme this year was Back to the 80s. The students wore 80’s themed shirts and colorful accessories. The choirs performed songs they had been working on, while the audience enjoyed eating pie and drinking coffee. There were a few small groups that sang songs as well as the whole choir. The Upper School guys sang “Africa” by Toto, and the Upper School girls sang “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper. A small group of Upper School students sang “You’re The Inspiration” by Chicago and the Upper School ensemble sang a Star Wars tribute from “Star Wars” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears For Fears. Choir director Janine Locke said, “This was the best dinner show I have been a part of and I’m really proud of how hard the students have worked.” Overall the Dinner Show was a success and everyone displayed their hard work in the performance.
