McKinney Christian Academy’s homecoming was held in the Student Life Center on September 14. The theme of the dance was Hawaiian, meaning many people dressed in their best vacation-wear. While many girls dressed in floral, other people wore casual dresses. Many guys sported a hawaiian shirt to the dance.  At the dance there were snacks to eat, coffee to drink, and most importantly a dance floor to break down on. Whether students came to the dance with a date or not, the dance provided activities for everyone to do, from dancing, grabbing a coffee from the coffee bar, to taking pictures in the photo booth. The DJ played a mix of music selected by the Student Government from upbeat pop songs, country to slow dances. Junior Peter Clark when asked about the music commented, “The DJ played a good variety of music that made the night ten times better.” Despite a few mix-ups and pineapple juice on the dance floor, homecoming 2019 all went according to plan.
