On September 28, the Boys and Girls Cross Country team traveled to Denison High School to compete in the Denison XC Invitational. With the sun shining and the clouds covering, the Mustangs were ready to trample the competition. The Mustangs went up against top notch schools including Melissa High, McKinney Boyd, Allen, and more. Placing fifth out of 22 schools, the boys varsity team had two runners in the top 20, five runners in the top 70, and a PR ran by Senior Seth Pugh. Overall, the Upper School teams are training every day as they prep for state in three weeks.

Finishing runner-up, the Middle School boys race to the top. Alongside them, the Middle School Lady Mustangs would also have a strong finish, nearly placing in the top 10. The cross country season is coming to the end with only three meets left to go. Next, both Middle and Upper School teams head to the Blue Ridge Tiger Trail Invitational on Thursday October 3.
