The McKinney Christian Academy Middle School Girls Volleyball Seasons began in August and went through October.

The D1 team’s overall record was 9-6 for their season. The Mustangs made it to the second round of playoffs and finished third overall in our district. From the D1 team three girls participated in the All Star Game, Kadence Ackmann, Sky Miller and Kaylin Starling. At the conclusion of their season several awards were handed out. Eighth grader Sky Miller was awarded MVP of the year, seventh grader Brooklyn Claudio was given Most Improved and seventh grader Mia Gunn received the Mustang award.

The D2 team ended their season 10-5 and ended district 5-2. They won against Good Shepherd in two sets to send them into the district championship game. Unfortunately the Mustangs fell short in the championship against Prince of Peace but still ended up as co-district champs. At the end of the season the coaches awarded the players with different awards. Eighth grader Lauren Jackson was awarded MVP of the season, seventh grader Havilah Mahadi was awarded with the Most Improved of the season and eighth grader Grace Krause, was awarded the Mustang award.

Although the Mustangs did not come home with championship wins, they still had a great season. D1 MVP, Sky Miller, summed up their season when she said, “I enjoyed this season because everyone grew so close to each other and we always had fun with one another on and off the volleyball court”.
