This weeks senior spotlight features Matthew Smith and Morgan Oden.

Matthew Smith has attended McKinney Christian Academy since sixth grade. In his time at MCA, Smith has been involved in cross country, debate, and the Dominican Republic mission trip. Outside of MCA, Smith enjoys reading, running, and hanging out with friends. After graduation, although his college is undecided, he plans to pursue a career in medicine. Smith’s favorite MCA memory was raising awareness for impeachment proceedings for President Seth Pugh. A fun fact about Matthew Smith is that he used to have a pet snake named Jake.

Morgan Oden has attended McKinney Christian Academy since her sophomore year. Within her time at MCA, Oden has been involved in varsity volleyball every year. In her free time outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Post graduation, Oden plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in nursing with the hopes to pursue a career as a pediatric nurse. Oden’s favorite MCA memory was her sophomore varsity volleyball retreat when the team pulled a prank on the coaches. A fun fact about Morgan Oden is that she has played volleyball since the third grade.
