Senior Spotlight: Lauren Rose & Sam Harrell
April 15, 2020
This week’s senior spotlight features Lauren Rose and Sam Harrell.
Lauren Rose has attended McKinney Christian Academy since her freshman year. Within her time at MCA, Rose has played varsity volleyball for all four years (Captain for two years), newspaper (ending her time as Editor-In-Chief), NHS, and choir. Outside of school she enjoys hanging out with friends, being outdoors, long car rides, drinking coffee, and is always down for a laugh. Post high school, Rose plans to attend Auburn University and major in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Spanish. Rose has two favorite MCA memories, one being the ability to be apart of the volleyball program and being able to be a captain her senior year. Her second favorite memory is going to the football games whether home or away, Rose loved being able to dress up with her friends whether that’s wearing senior overalls, face paint or glitter all to cheer on the Mustangs win or lose. A fun fact about Lauren Rose is that she loves covering her face in glitter.
Sam Harrell has attended McKinney Christian Academy since the 1st grade. Within his time at MCA, Harrell has been apart of football, wrestling, track, NHS, Student Government and newspaper. Outside of school, he enjoys hanging out with his siblings, friends, and his dog, Gus. He also enjoys going to the movies. Post high school his plans are to attend Pepperdine University and major in Communications. His favorite MCA memory was going to Six Flags when he was a junior with his classmates because no one else was there, the lines were short, and they could ride the rides as much as they wanted. A fun fact about Sam Harrell is that he has completely shaved his head once.
