Senior Spotlight: Maura Cueva & Mark Voelkel

This weeks senior spotlight is Maura Cueva and Mark Voelkel.

Maura Cueva has attended McKinney Christian Academy for ten years. Within her time at MCA, Cueva has been involved in varsity soccer for two years, NHS, and choir. In her free time, Cueva enjoys riding horses, hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and long drives. After high school, Cueva plans to attend Blinn College and major in Veterinary Medicine then transfer to Texas A&M College Station her sophomore or junior year. Her favorite MCA memory is going to football games with face paint, glitter, and spirit buckets to support the Mustangs. A fun fact about Maura Cueva is that she has two middle names “Maura Augusta Romanoski Cueva”.

Mark Voelkel has attend McKinney Christian Academy since he was in the fifth grade. At MCA, he has been involved varsity basketball (captain) and NHS. In his free time outside of school, Voelkel enjoys playing piano and playing guitar, watching the office, and hanging out with friends. After high school, Voelkel plans to attend Baylor University and major in Economics. His favorite MCA memory is when the freshman basketball team won the tournament his freshman year and senior year when the team became district champs. A fun fact about Mark Voelkel is that he can speak pig latin.
