This weeks senior spotlight is Joy Chiang and Jason Cross.

Joy Chiang has attended McKinney Christian Academy since she was in the seventh grade. Within her time at MCA, Chiang has been involved in NHS, Advanced Art, and TAPPS Art competitions. In her free time outside of school, she enjoys painting, going to concerts, rewatching the “Mama Mia” series, and picnicking with her friends. After high school, Chiang plans to attend the University of Westminster in London and study Fine Arts. Her favorite MCA memory is when she got to skip school, drive down to Houston, and observe some original Van Gogh paintings with some of her friends junior year. A fun fact about Joy Chiang is that she has an intense fear of frogs.

Jason Cross has attended McKinney Christian Academy for the past twelve years. Within his time at MCA, he has been involved in the praise and worship band, NHS, cross country, debate, track, and basketball. Outside of school, he enjoys cooking, playing guitar, fishing, wakeboarding, and writing music. After high school Cross plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station and major in Engineering. His favorite MCA memory is either Christmas Chapel this year or the first night of senior retreat hanging out with his classmates. A fun fact about Jason Cross is that he is not a picky eater, he will eat almost anything, except he really hates sweet potatoes.
