Head volleyball coach Tara Ackmann and the volleyball team started a new tradition for the team this year concerning their jerseys. This year Ackmann made the girls work to earn their jerseys. Starting Monday August 24th with a harder then usual practice. Then the girls woke up early on Tuesday, August 25th to have a timed run around the school. The girls had five minutes to run a lap around McKinney Christian Academy’s’ circle.  At the end of the run the team ran through the football tunnel and were greeted with their uniforms as well as a healthy breakfast. When asked about this new tradition Senior Ava Grace Haggard said, “It was fun and a good team bonding experience.” The Varsity team has their first home game at The Tournament of Champions hosted by MCA on September 10.
