On March 25 and 26, the Lower School students participated in the BoosterThon Fun Run. The students received pledges from their sponsors and ran laps inside the gym as a fundraiser to help earn money for the school. Each grade had a Pledge-O- Meter that they could earn rewards for each individual grade depending on how many pledges they got. The week before, the students watched BoosterThon videos about their character and learned about themselves before the actual running day. Lower School Principal Chris Hydock said, “The videos are great, we can talk to the kids about what’s relevant to what they’re going through.” The students were excited to run and they got to wear their BoosterThon shirts on the running days. First grader, Harrison O’Toole exclaimed, “I was actually excited to run!” and he was proud of running 63 laps. Parents showed up to support and cheer on their runners throughout the day. Fifth grader, Presley Dreffs said, “My favorite thing about BoosterThon was learning about all the character traits and doing the running part too.”
