Senior Spotlight: Ruth Perry and Shane Vanderhagen

This weeks senior spotlight is Ruth Perry and Shane Vanderhagen.

Ruth Perry has attended McKinney Christian Academy for the past 11 years. During this time she has been involved in varsity cross country, varsity soccer, varsity track, student government and National Honor Society. Outside of school Perry enjoys running as well as hanging out with friends. After high school she plans to attend Baylor University to study Biology with hopes to pursue a career related to zoology. Her favorite MCA memory was playing Pictionary in Coach Blues room during lunch her senior year. A fun fact about Ruth Perry that most people do not know is that she has played soccer since she was four.

Shane Vanderhagen has attended McKinney Christian Academy since the seventh grade. While at MCA, Vanderhagen has been involved in varsity baseball, varsity football, student government, tech theatre, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, playing video games, or trading stocks. Post high school, Vanderhagen plans to attend the University of Alabama to pursue an electrical engineering degree as well as an MBA. His favorite MCA memory was the Arkansas mission trip he had the opportunity to go on during junior year missions week. A fun fact about Shane Vanderhagen that most people do not know is that when he lived in Indiana he had 60 pet frogs that lived in his pool and his three favorites were Little Lightning, King and Piggybacker.
