On Tuesday, April  20, McKinney Christian Academy held the Spring Swing at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club. The Spring Swing is the MCA golf classic and auction in order to raise funds for the school. Approximately 18o guest attended the event. After a day of golfing, attendees had dinner and an auction complete with a speech from former United States Representative Allen West. The purpose of the dinner was to raise funds to help MCA students in need of financial assistance especially due to the past year being tough on so many MCA families. Allen West finished the night with a message on the importance of living a God filled and God led life despite all the distractions and ungodly influences surrounding people today. When asked on his opinion on the importance of private Christian education West said, “Its all about building the character. It’s not always about the intellect, it’s about building the heart and spirit.” The event raised close to $100,000.
