On April 26 and 27, the MCA advanced theater class performed The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong. It features the cast of the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society who are trying to put together their show about a murder mystery. Even though they may have thought they were prepared, the cast continues the show when everything goes wrong. While it may seem like an easy piece, it took lots of practice and precision to make all the right things go wrong. With the audience laughing throughout the performance, MCA theater put together one of their most difficult plays yet. Junior Maddie Simmons, who played Annie, commented about the most challenging part saying, “It took up a lot of time and we had to work around our busy schedules to make it work, but in the end it was worth it.” Simmons added how she really liked how close the cast is.”We could make each other laugh and work off each other because we know each other so well.” MCA advanced theater can’t wait to present another show next year.
