Kindergarten teacher Cindy Hamilton is retiring after teaching at McKinney Christian Academy since 2006. Hamilton started at MCA as the Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant for Karen Stewart who retired last year, before she had her own class. The next year she started teaching her own students and has done that now for the past 15 years. When asked to reflect on her time at MCA, Hamilton said, “MCA is my home away from home! I will miss the wonderful staff that I’ve been blessed to work with all these years. Also I will miss the students and the joy of watching them learn and grow. I don’t know of any other school year when students change and grow as much as they do in kindergarten. Their precious prayers make my day every day!” Hamilton is sad to leave behind the great memories from the past 15 years, but is excited to see what the Lord has in store for her future. Hamilton said, “I am excited to see what the Lord has for me to do next. I am looking forward to my next job and praying that He reveals it soon!” The MCA students and staff she has positively impacted over the years are sad to see her leave, but join her in excitement and celebration to see where the Lord will guide her next.
