The fifth grade McKinney Christian Academy  Lower School boys played in the FNA football league this fall. FNA is a non-contact, flag-football league that brings a competitive and fun atmosphere to each game. Fifth graders Rhett LeBlanc, Braden Johnson, Jack Nordhaus, Ben Nordhaus, Mason McAnally, Noah Sebastian, Zach Behling, Jacob Agness, Lakota Keith, and fourth grader Trase Ackmann have been competing together for over eight seasons of flag football. The team is coached by Ryan Nordhaus, Eric Sebastian, and Dave McAnally. The Crimson Tide finished 8-2, going all the way to the championship game against the Nittany Lions where they fell short 33-28, receiving second place in the league. When asked his opinion on the season, Nordhaus said, “It was great season for the boys, it was an awesome opportunity to play in a new league against older kids. It really challenged the boys mentally, physically, and spiritually. There was a lot of growth in all three areas, we were very competitive, and everybody contributed in different ways. Throughout the season it was total team effort and I couldn’t be more proud of how they played this season.”
