Lady Mustangs Soccer Take Down Former State Champions

Last Thursday, December 3, the McKinney Christian Academy Lady Mustangs soccer team went head to head against the defending 4A state champions, Dallas Covenant. The Lady Mustangs came out victorious, winning 3-1. In the first half, the Mustangs were down 1-0. They rallied in the second half putting pressure on the Knights’ defense and scoring three goals. Sophomore Ava Thompson scored two goals and junior Leigh-Evan Kitzmiller scored the third goal. Senior Captain Paxton Crews said, “It was a good win for us to have momentum going into district play next week. I’m super proud of our team and our perseverance to the end.” The Lady Mustangs play in their first district home game against Cristo Rey on Saturday, December 11.
