On Tuesday, December 7th, at 7:00 p.m. MCA’s Choir’s and Band’s performed at the Christmas Band and Choir Concert. The concert was held in the Student Life Center, and featured a fun and festive Christmas theme. Both the Middle and Upper School bands performed at the concert with a variety of different songs. The 6th grade band played Jingle Bells, Up On a Housetop, Jolly Ol St. Nick and Santa’s Noisy Workshop. The 7th and 8th grade bands played Caribbean Christmas and the combined Upper and Middle School bands played a Christmas collection. When asked about how he felt the students performed, Band Director, Ken Snow, said, “The students performed very well, and had fun dressing up for the Christmas season.  Plus it’s always fun to hear how far the beginning band students have progressed since August.” The MCA choir also performed at the concert, singing a variety of Christmas themed songs including, Man With The Bag, All Is Well, Carol of the Bells, and Star of Wonder. At the end of the performance the Upper and Middle School choirs sang together a closing benediction song. Choir student and MCA senior, Landry Nelson, said “ I feel like we performed very well and it was nice to see all the hard work and effort pay off,” when asked how he felt the performance went.
