This week’s Senior Spotlight is Kate Graesser and Jake Atherton.

Kate Graesser has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since her freshman year. During her time here, she has played on the varsity volleyball team and participated in NHS and yearbook. In her free time, Graesser enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Post graduation, she plans to earn her bachelors and masters in social work and The University of Arkansas. Her favorite memory from her time at MCA was sitting on the patio at retreat and talking to all of her classmates her freshman year. A fun fact about Graesser that some might not know is that one day she wants to live in Colorado.

Jake Atherton has been attending McKinney Christian Academy for the past seven years. During his time at MCA, he has been on the golf team, football team, and has been on the yearbook staff. This year, Atherton was Middle School yearbook editor. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing, hanging out with his family, and going to the varsity basketball games. After graduation, Atherton will be attending Hardin Simmons University where he will also be playing golf. His favorite memory from his time here at MCA was college tour because he got to hang out with his friends for a whole week while going to a bunch of cool places. A fun fact about him that some people might not know is that he hates carbonated drinks.
