This week’s Senior Spotlight is Sammie Pogue and Grant Hursh.

Sammie Pogue has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since Kindergarten. During her time at MCA, she has been a part of volleyball and art. In her free time, she enjoys just hanging out with her friends. After graduation, Pogue will attend Oklahoma State University and plans on majoring in Psychology (BA). In the future, she hopes to be able to be a counselor for children and teens. Her favorite memory from her time at MCA was traveling down to Waco to see the boys basketball win state. She says it was such a cool senior year experience. A fun fact about her that some people might not know is that she loves photography and can see herself having a small photography business in the future, possibly during college.

Grant Hursh has attended McKinney Christian Academy since the 7th grade. During his time at MCA, he has been involved in theater, tech theater, teen cert, art, football, wrestling and track and field. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, going to the lake, and hanging out with friends. After graduation, Hursh plans to go to Oklahoma State University or Texas Tech University and major in professional sales with a sports management minor. His favorite MCA memory was working out in the dungeon all summer long every year with his best friends and Coach Gray convincing him to play football. A fun fact about him that some people might not know is that he has his boater’s license in three different states.
