On April 1 and 2 the MCA Mustang Band performed at the Texas State Capitol. After their performance, the band got to take a tour of the capitol building and chambers. Band members played movie music themes from Shrek, Dances with Wolves, Pirates of the Caribbean, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and many more.  The people who were there to listen were individuals, couples, elementary school groups and a mixture of various groups that were there to tour the capitol. In addition to their performance, the band was also able to do a couple fun activities. The Mustang Band got to attend a Street Side Brass Band festival, hike the enchanted rock, shop in Fredericksburg and listen to a jazz quartet at Krause’s Cafe in New Braunfels, Texas. On their last day, the band got to do some midnight bowling after eating at the Gristmill in Gruene and antique shopping.
