Today’s Senior Spotlight is Adam Gerdes and Elliott Mahadi.

Adam Gerdes has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since the fifth grade. During his time at MCA he has been involved in Mu Alpha Theta, Student Government, basketball where he was apart of the state championship team his senior year, Parakletos, and broadcast where he has been the sports anchor for the past three years. During his free time, Gerdes enjoys watching movies, acting a fool with friends, working out, and playing with his friends in their basketball rec team, Los Pantalones. After graduation, he plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University where he will study communications and media. His favorite memory from his time at MCA was silly back and forth banter with teachers and staff over the years. A fun fact about Gerdes that some people might not know is that he has earned $1,133,400 in scholarships for college. 

Elliott Mahadi has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since the sixth grade. During his time at MCA, he has been involved in soccer, basketball, track, baseball, debate, boys state, theatre, choir, art, and being the main anchor for broadcast. During his free time, Mahadi enjoys hanging out with his friends. After graduation, he plans to attend Baylor University to study business. His favorite memory from his time at MCA was silly back and forth banter with teachers and staff over the years. A fun fact about him that some people might not know is that one time he got lost at the mall and Neil DeGrasse Tyson found him and brought him back to his parents.
