Senior Spotlight: Karlene Shelton and Will Penny

Karlene Shelton has been attending McKinney Christian Academy since the first grade. During her time at MCA, she has been involved in band where she plays the clarinet, debate, Mu Alpha Theta and several TAPPS competitions. In her free time, Shelton enjoys reading. After graduation, she plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin where she will study pharmaceuticals. Her favorite memory from her time at MCA was going to a banjo museum. A fun fact about Shelton that some people might not know is that she can cook a mean quesadilla. 

Will Penny has been attending McKinney Christian Academy for the last 15 years. During his time at MCA, he has been involved National Honor Society and theatre. During his free time, Penny enjoys archery, Boy Scouts, being outside, playing with dogs and taking naps. After graduation, he plans to graduate from A&M with a degree in Agribusiness and a double minor in sales and entrepreneurship. His favorite MCA memory was having field day in elementary. A fun fact about him that some people might not believe is that he in fact did not pull the fire alarm in Mrs. Maroffs room in sixth grade.
