On Saturday, April 30th, the McKinney Christian Academy Upper and Middle School Choir put on their annual dinner show where parents, family and friends have a chance to eat food and listen to the choir’s songs. Every year, the dinner show has some sort of theme to go along with it. The theme for this year’s show was Broadway. The Concert started at 7 p.m. and ended at 8:30 p.m. The Upper and Middle school choirs performed several hit Broadway scores including “Come Alive,” “Seize the Day,” “Waving through a Window,” “Love is an Open Door” and “We Go Together.” Additionally, several students performed solos. Junior, Lila Finke sang “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” junior, Sydney Scrivner sang “Burn,” freshmen Cal Emley performed “Yellow Brick Road” on the piano and Davie Kitzmiller sang “I Dreamed a Dream,” sophomore Grace Krause and Kitzmiller sang “Never Enough” and choir director Amy Jordan performed “Dancing Queen.” When asked what her favorite part of the show was, Jordan responded saying, “My favorite part of the show is the slide show. I love looking back on our year together and celebrating our successes and fun times.”
