Tuesday, August 23 marked Middle school volleyball’s first game of the season. Playing two sets each, both MCA teams won their match against Coram Deo at home in the Student Life Center. The Division 1 team shot off their first set by sealing a quick win with a score of 25-9. Coram Deo stepped up during the second set, but the Mustangs quickly took them down, scoring 25-14 and winning the D1 match.

After the D1 game, Middle school’s Division 2 team took the court. After a slow start the team managed to take the first set 25-15. By the time the second set came around, the D2 girls found their footing and finished the game 25-12. “We had some great teamwork and a lot more communication than last year.” says eighth grader Kamryn Firth. “It was a great game for the first game.” You’ll be able to catch Middle school volleyball again, on Thursday September 1, against Parish Episcopal.
