On Saturday August 27, the McKinney Christian Academy cross country team competed in the Greenhill Luke’s Locker Relay. The meet is a six mile relay with four runners on a team, each running a mile and a half. The men’s team consisted of juniors David Roller and Nicholas Catullo, sophomore Jack Sukhia and freshman Dane Johnson. On the last leg of the meet, Roller secured the win for the men’s team to take home first place. When asked about the race Roller said “it was nice to get a win, we put in a lot of hard work and effort and it paid off.” The girls team included seniors Belle Kanz and Leigh Evan Kitzmiller, junior Grace Krause and sophomore Joy Allen. All four girls raced hard, finishing top 10 in the meet. The first leg of the girls relay, Kitzmiller said “I really love running with this team and it was nice to see everyone have a great run.” The Mustangs next meet will be Thursday, September 1, at Wolfe City High School.
